500W is the peak power available from the solar panel. Actual power delivered will vary due to weather conditions, panel placement, and battery state of charge. This will influence the annual savings of up to 850L savings of diesel annually, with all of the factors above being taken into account.

The Solution is a unit which provides electrical power to a commercial vehicle through harnessing the suns energy via solar panels. This Solution is designed to reduce the work of the alternator, therefore reducing load on the engine and cutting down fuel and emissions.

The Solution is TUV approved, being a passive system that is a provider of energy throughout daylight periods and a small electrical consumer during hours of darkness. This means that the operation of The Solution would have no detrimental effect on the vehicle and its associated ancillaries other than being a small electrical consumer on the vehicle battery.

The Solution connects to the battery simply via the positive and negative terminals with a positive and negative wire from V3 box. This connection can either be made directly to the terminals or via a power supply bar or busbar as is common with most commercial vehicles.

Various Manufacturers have approved the system with their vehicles, maunfacturers such as IVECO, Daimler (Mercedes) and MAN.

TRAILAR Service Division engineers will install the kit to the vehicle, all Engineers are fully trained and can install the kit in no longer than 4 hours. All equipment is brought along with the engineers to fit the kit to the appropriate vehicles, that’s from having the correct tools, PPE to the process of using adhesive to lay the mats on the vehicles roof.

Due to the nature of the product being fixed to the asset for its life, there is no ability to return the system post installation.
